Not perfect, I still have sore feet at the end of the day, but they are better than most shoes I have tried. I walk on concrete all day, so it's hard to find a comfortable shoe. I only had mild soreness from break in the first day, so that's pretty good, some shoes take much longer to break in. Skechers have become my shoe of choice for several years now. The shape ups do take a little getting used to because of the arch, but after a few days, I barely notice it anymore except when I am on a ladder. Do to the abuse my feet suffer and being 50 years old, I don't think there is a shoe that will cause my feet to not be sore at the end of the day, but these are the best I've had so far. Oh, and in my case, I didn't find these to be too small as many reviews mentioned. I bought the same size I usually do and they fit fine.Update 9-2-16. After wearing these shoes daily for about 5 months now they show very little wear. I have only moderately sore feet at the end of the day, so they have gotten even better. My feet feel better than they have with any other shoes I've used for work. Also I don't even notice the arch anymore, not even on a ladder. I will without a doubt be buying these shoes again.5-21-17 I had to post another update. These shoes are a small miracle, 13 months of daily use and still hardly any wear and comfortable, I would normally have gone through 3 pair by now of any other shoes. My feet have never felt better.
