I wear a 39 in Birkenstock sandals. That was just short enough in this brand to be annoying. Returned them and got them in size 40. The fit is now perfect. The suction sound when walking even before getting sweaty was so loud it attracted attention, like I had a few too many beans for lunch. Lol Problem solved by adding self-stick moleskin as pictured (less than $2). No sounds at all now! Don't worry, you can't see them when your foot is in the shoe. I love these and appreciate the cost savings over similar Birkenstocks. Quality is spot on.
