The heat deflector arrived today on time. After unpackaging and a quick inspection, it looked great took a few quick measurements and determined the best way to install. After that it was very quick. A few screws and its done. I can certainly see how different fireplaces could require alternate installation methods. But we have a Heatilater fireplace, and it already had pre-drilled holes for this deflector. Piece of cake. We are testing it as we speak and the heat is definitely moving away from the mantle ….before we installed this the mantle was getting extremely hot. I feel like we have solved our problem.
