Need shoe for arch supports. This fits the need. The shoe is wider than I needed and seems to get loose very easy. My supports are not thick so the shoe is deeper than I needed. Overall for the price I would have liked a better fit. Buying online is difficult. I could have sent these back but felt like I needed to give them a chance. I would buy something else next time around. They have held up well, but the laces are needing to be pulled tighter and tighter with wear.My wife had trouble with shoes hurting her toes since they are crooked from arthritis. These shoes have helped considerably. This is the third or fourth pair of these shoes that I've bought. There are reasons that I come back to them and those are:1) Although they are not "stylish", they keep me pain-free. I am able to remove the innersole and insert my own orthodics.2) The box is wide enough so that my toes are not cramped, especially since I do a lot of walking for exercise.3) They are heavy compared to shoes that are made of mesh material but they are sturdy and hold their shape until I am ready for a new pair and they keep my ankles/feet stable for trail walking,If you're looking for a stylish diabetic shoe that you use with your daytime or evening wear, this isn't it. You will always look like you're wearing "mukluks". I haven't found many shoes that allow me to take the insoles out to use my own orthodics so I'm willing to use these for the large part of my walking.I love the details on these shoes. The metal enforced hooks for the laces. The finger tab on the tongue. The two sets of insoles. The two sets of laces--bungee and traditional cotton. They are extremely well made. My problem, though, is that I can't get them snug enough to keep my feet stable. Because the shoes are made of such a soft material, my feet move around inside of them and after a short while my heel flops out of them and my toes are pushing on the box. I am guessing this exceptional amount of flexibility is needed for those who have diabetic foot problems. But, I just needed a deep box for my orthotic insoles. Sadly, I cannot wear them because they are just too loose. This is a great shoe. I thought I would need a wider width with orthotic, but did not. Order your normal width length was accurate. Very comfortableI had Achilles tendonitis reconstruction surgery back in December. I was in a boot for 5 weeks. Once I got out of the boot, I needed a good shoe for the heel pain. I found this shoe and it has turned out to be the best decision I've made. Thank you Amazon/Dr. Comfort for a great shoe. I'll be back to look for a dress shoe that will help with the heel pain.I really love the comfort of these shoes. It was very disappointing that the color wasn't the navy blue seem in the pictures. I didn't return them because I need them right away for therapy. Although I would love to order another pair, I'd go with another brand in order to get the color as seen.I wear these with my AFO and it's working out well for me.This is a comfortable shoe and very wide & well padded, I bough a size 8 US or 6 UK. With the insole, which was necessary for comfort. I’m normally a size smaller & it fits a little big.I had to use the standard laces as it was difficult to tighten them up up enough for Walking outside. For me they are brilliant when I spend hours cooking a special meal for friends & family which I do a lot.I have never been great at standing for long periods as I’m Hyper mobile but these really help.Happy feet at the hob!
